It is an exciting time in Unitarian Universalism as we prepare to elect a new president of our Association. The UUA President is the primary public and spiritual leader of Unitarian Universalism, as well as the UUA’s Chief Executive Officer. They help to lead Unitarian Universalists on a path to Beloved Community, in which people of diverse backgrounds, identities and theological beliefs can thrive. Voting will open in early June and presidential forums begin this weekend. We invite you to meet the candidate for UUA President. Learn how you can participate in the forums in the information and links below. Register for the first forum, which will take place this Saturday, March 18 at 1pm ET/12pm CT/11am MT/10am PT. The deadline for in-person registration is March 15, the forum is taking place in Arlington, VA, and registration for online attendance will continue up until the start of the event. All forums are multiplatform and registration is required. With you on the journey,
Rachel

This election year there is a single candidate for UUA President, the Rev. Dr. Sofía Betancourt. Minister, educator, scholar, vocalist, poet, fiber artist and change-maker, Rev. Dr. Betancourt has served Unitarian Universalism for more than twenty years in a wide range of volunteer and professional roles. Her work in the world and practice of Unitarian Universalism are informed by the belief that building mutual, accountable relationships with one another allows us to live our values more fully every day.
UUA Presidential Forums, held in March through June this year, will be an opportunity to meet and get to know candidate Rev. Dr. Betancourt, who will join events in congregations in Arlington, VA, Evanston, IL, Santa Barbara, CA and Dallas, TX. Help us spread the word about these important opportunities to engage more deeply in UU community.
Each UUA Presidential Forum will be a multiplatform event, taking place in person and online. The forums will begin at 1pm, local time, with a reception to follow. Registration is required to attend these events and note that registration for in-person attendance is required several days in advance.
