The First UU Church of Houston Has Organized UU the Vote

The First UU Church of Houston has organized UU the Vote, which is working with Reclaim our Vote, a national organization, to write postcards and make phone calls to Get Out the Vote (GOTV) for the November 3 general election.  This year is a crucial year and every vote is important.  Our work is aimed at contacting as many voters as we can by September 20

Houston has formed a consortium of other Texas UU churches for this effort, including San Antonio, College Station, and five other congregations.

I am excited to serve as the liaison for our church.  We are calling on all members of our congregation, who wish to participate, to contact me this week.

I hope our UU churches can succeed in making an impact this year..
