News from the UUWF
UUCBV women, Gaye Webb, Katie Womack, and Nancy Deer attended the Southwest UU Women’s Conference (SWUUW) in Grapevine, Texas, the first weekend in March. They and over 40 other women gathered “For the Beauty of the Earth”, as the conference was themed. SWUUW board member, Karen McGinnis brought the chalice pictured here as a gift from the Odessa UU Fellowship. This original wooden wall hanging had been entrusted to Karen to find it a new home. The Odessa Fellowship had to close and sell its building for lack of members. Katie and Gaye suggested to Karen that our new church building could be the perfect new home for this beautiful piece. If you are wondering about the size, the chalice fills the floor of a Prius hatchback.
