Green Tip of the Week

Tired of all the plastic bags you use in the produce department? They are hard to open, hard to tie and tear easily letting your fruit fall on the floor. Try this - put your store-bought produce in a small reusable bag. At check out, group your produce on top of one of your bags so the cashier can weigh them and then replace them into another reusable bag. This is faster than bagging your produce separately. You won’t have a bunch of produce plastic bags to get rid of and you will be a faster shopper. Your cashier will be challenged and learn about conservation.
