Help Lonely Senior Citizens by assembling gift bags -
Sunday, November 24th from 4-6pm at the Brazos Valley Council of Governments building at 3001 East 29th Street, Bryan. We will be assembling gift bags for Senior Citizens. During this time, you will be given a set of gift bags and wish lists for about 30 seniors, and you will fill each bag with the requested items. All items will be provided on-site. Many elderly seniors feel alone, especially during the holidays because they no longer have a family or are physically unable to visit family and friends. Each year the Brazos Valley Council of Governments identify home-bound and nursing home seniors who have very little or no contact with their families during the holidays and they ask them for wish lists so come out and enjoy the fun of filling gift bags for these seniors. You are welcome to bring your children as long as they are at least 9 years old. Brazos Valley Council of Governments require each volunteer to submit a volunteer information form.
