Updated: Apr 1, 2020

Please join the UUWF on October 21st

and welcome author, Peter Witt who has written Edith's War: Writings of a Red Cross Worker & Lifelong Champion of Social Justice

His book was recently published by the A&M Press! Edith Witt served in the Red Cross in Algeria and Italy during WWII, and wrote about her wartime experiences. Back in this country she became involved in the civil rights movement and participated in the MLK Jr. march from Selma to Montgomery, Alabama in 1965. Edith Witt was a remarkable woman, and much of her powerful story is in her own words.

We welcome, in addition to current members and friends, anyone who would like to find out more about the UUWF. Bring your favorite dish to share and meet us at noon in the board room in the back of the Hillel Sanctuary.
