This Jesse B. Coon recipient has held a long list of positions in the church – Worship Assistant, Chair of Religious Education Committee, Stewardship Drive Chair, Canvasser, President of the Board, Sacred Space Team Member, and Search Committee Chair, to name a few of the major ones.
She has given more than her share to the work of the Religious Education program during her 12 years with the church. For many, that contribution would be enough. But this volunteer is truly a Jesse B. Coon Award recipient because she gives of herself whenever asked and somehow finds a way to give more when asked for more.
Next time you talk to her about the UUCBV, just watch how her face lights up. Next time you talk to her about what UUCBV means to her, just watch how she fills with emotion, so much so that tears start to flow.
We have had a small army of volunteers over the years, people who pitch in and do the work. Molly Hagan-Ward does that and more. Molly brings the energy. She excites us with her amazing voice, she calms us with her very presence, she lights up a fellowship hall just by walking in, and she emanates a spirit of love and service that is our community’s treasure.
