Thank you to all who volunteered to help with our Host Week at Family Promise, Bryan. Even though many of our usual volunteers are away on vacation this wee, we have a shopper for supplies, all five dinners covered, and most of the overnight hosting spots full! Anyone interested if joining the UUCBV Family Promise Host Team can contact me by phone or email. I'll go over the training with you and get you set up to participate in these events. Family Promise is an area-wide, volunteer-based, non-profit organization that supports families by providing shelter, meals and support services to homeless families. We provide a safe environment in which families can stay together and become self-sufficient. The program is affiliated with the nationwide Family Promise in Summit, New Jersey.
